The RIIO partnered with the Agarwal hospital system when it first opened in Kigali. By combining forces, Drs. John and Ciku have been able to deliver top notch care in a low resource setting. Now with the RIIO School Of Ophthalmology open, they plan to have a small resident-run clinic that is independent and will be supervised by local and visiting doctors. When the resident clinic opens in the next few months, they will be able to learn in a controlled setting while providing eye care to the underserved of Kigali.
